Experience

I am currently employed part time as a mathematics intervention tutor at a local further education college where I deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group tuition. At present, I specialise in the Eduqas GCSE Mathematics specification, but I am also experienced with other examination boards including Edexcel and AQA.

I have worked with students of varying abilities and SEND needs including dyscalculia, helping less confident learners build strong foundations through explanations tailored to their learning style. I also enjoy challenging Higher Tier learners to deepen their understanding, and improve their mathematical reasoning and problem solving skills leading to increased confidence going into the exam.

While supporting exam preparation, I can offer advice on developing effective study habits and revision strategies, provide regular practice with exam-style questions and mark work against the examination board's mark schemes. Through detailed feedback, I can help learners understand where marks are earned, identify common errors, focus on areas that have the most impact and improve their exam technique.

As well as KS3, GCSE and Functional skills, I am also able to offer tuition for students to support transition to A Level Mathematics.
