Experience
I am an experienced KS1 and KS2 teacher with over 25 years in the classroom, specialising in building confidence, core skills and positive learning habits in children who benefit from personalised support. I have extensive experience working with pupils with SEND to create and deliver tailored, effective interventions. I have also worked with HA students on stretch and challenge activities as well as 11+ exam preparation. I currently work with both private and AP clients to deliver tuition in English, Maths and Science across KS1-3.My background includes senior leadership roles such as Deputy Head, Director of Studies, KS2 Lead and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, giving me a strong foundation in curriculum design, assessment and pastoral care. I bring a calm, organised and empathetic approach, helping children feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
I focus on creating engaging, accessible lessons that reflect each child’s interests and strengths, using clear communication, structured teaching and purposeful use of technology.
I am passionate about promoting emotional wellbeing, resilience and a growth mindset, ensuring that academic progress and personal confidence grow side by side.

I have supported students with a wide range of SEND including dyslexia, dyscalculia, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, EBSA, PDA, Anxiety as well as HA/MA students as the MABLE / G&T coordinator.My own children are ND and my youngest daughter is home schooled.
