Experience
I am an experienced educator with over 20 years’ experience across teaching, tutoring, educational leadership, lecturing and teacher development. I have taught in Inner London secondary schools and held a range of leadership positions, including Head of Department and Head of Year, alongside extensive pastoral, behaviour and safeguarding responsibilities.I have significant experience working one-to-one and with small groups, particularly supporting young people with SEND, SEMH, ADHD, autism, EBSA and those who have become disengaged from, excluded from or unable to access mainstream education. My work includes Alternative Provision and EOTAS tutoring, re-engaging learners and adapting education around individual EHCP and pastoral needs.
Alongside classroom teaching, I have spent around 10 years mentoring and training trainee teachers, ECTs/NQTs and other education professionals. I have also worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Greenwich, teaching undergraduate students and contributing to initial teacher education and teacher training.
My experience combines academic teaching with pastoral leadership, behaviour management, safeguarding, mentoring and coaching, enabling me to work effectively with both young people and education professionals across schools, universities, Alternative Provision and individual tuition settings.
