Experience
I have worked in Secondary Schools teaching Mathematics to GCSE Level for over ten years. Since becoming self employed in 2011 I have been privately tutoring all abilities of mathematicians successfully from primary age children up to adults, both face to face and supporting students via remote learning. This includes working on basic numeracy skills, SATs and entrance exam support, right through to GCSE level and adults with their functional maths development including numeracy test preparation for the armed forces.More

I would highly recommend Rob to students of all ages seeking private tuition in mathematics. When it comes to his ability as a tutor, Rob is excellent at identifying the specific areas of weakness in a students’ understanding of mathematics, and is able to break each subject down to a point where they become easier to understand and (most importantly) remember. Before I started taking lessons with Rob I lacked a lot of confidence and would usually rely on a calculator before I even considered attempting to solve a problem unaided. Once I had completed my first session, I immediately found the confidence to solve problems by using the techniques that I had learned, and since then my confidence has increased dramatically. I now look forward to every lesson, which are excellent value for money. So if you’re preparing for an exam or looking to brush up on your mathematics for a new job or a promotion at work, then Rob is the tutor you need!
