I am a qualified maths tutor currently teaching students in alternative provision during the daytime and mainstream students in the evening.I have several years experience working with SEND students either online, in their own homes or in the community.Qualifications

Experience
I have had a long and varied career initially working in the finance sector.I have subsequently worked for several years in residential and day care settings with children and adults with learning disabilities.
I then decided to train as a maths tutor, working at a further education college before working on a one to one basis with many SEND students from Year 1 to Year 11.
I have taught in the classroom, in the community and online.
I work hard to help all my students reach their full potential.
I am used to meeting the needs of an EHCP and creating engaging lessons for students of all abilities.

I initially spend a lot of time getting to know my students and building a rapport.I also assess their current abilities and plan lessons around their aspirations and needs.
I encourage my students to develop a growth mindset and work in a smart way to meet their goals.
