I have 19 years of experience working with children and young people across education, outdoor learning, sports coaching, and private tuition. My specialist subjects are Maths, Science, and Computer Science, and I have supported learners ranging from primary level through to GCSE and IGCSE.Alongside tutoring, I have worked extensively with young people in practical and skills-based environments, which has helped me develop a patient, adaptable teaching style that focuses on understanding rather than memorisation. I break complex topics into manageable steps and use real-world examples to make learning meaningful and engaging.
I have experience supporting home educated learners, worldschoolers, students preparing for GCSE examinations, and learners who have lost confidence in their abilities. I also work successfully with many neurodivergent learners, adapting sessions to suit individual learning styles and needs.
My focus is not simply on improving grades, but on helping students become more independent, resilient, and confident learners who understand the reasoning behind what they are doing.

Every student I work with receives personalised support tailored to their current level, goals, and learning style. I keep a deliberately small tutoring caseload so that I can build strong working relationships with students and provide consistent support throughout their learning journey.I hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and subscribe to the DBS Update Service. Safeguarding and creating a positive learning environment are central to my practice.
Whether a student is aiming for top GCSE grades, catching up on missed learning, preparing for examinations, or simply rebuilding confidence in Maths or Science, my aim is to make learning clear, achievable, and enjoyable.
