Experience
My teaching approach is centred around building each student's confidence. I believe that when students feel confident in their abilities, they become more willing to tackle challenging topics and develop a genuine understanding of the subject.I tailor each lesson around the topics students are currently studying at school, reinforcing their learning by revisiting key concepts and practising with carefully selected questions. Rather than simply working through questions one after another, I encourage students to understand why an answer is correct. This helps develop stronger reasoning skills, improves problem-solving ability, and gives students the confidence to apply their knowledge in unfamiliar situations.
I have over three years of experience as a private tutor, teaching both KS3 and GCSE students in Maths and Science. During this time, I have worked with students of a wide range of abilities and learning styles, adapting my teaching to suit each individual's needs and helping them achieve their academic goals.
I have experience teaching a variety of exam boards, including Edexcel and AQA, allowing me to tailor lessons to the specific requirements and question styles of each specification. Whether students need support understanding core concepts, preparing for assessments, or developing exam technique, I ensure lessons are structured, engaging, and focused on helping them make consistent progress while building confidence.
