I am a qualified science teacher currently teaching all 3 sciences up to GCSE level and biology A-level. I can offer sessions on all topics up along with exam technique and preparation sessions. I can provide help with home learning and prepare students for assessments.Qualifications

Experience
I studied Forensic science with criminology for 3 years and graduated in 2011. In 2016 I became a cover supervisor and quickly began teaching science classes at KS3 and KS4 level. I then completed my PGCE in 2018 in order to gain qualified teacher status. I have been teaching both KS3 and KS4 combined science and A-level Biology since. I love working with my students and am incredibly passionate about helping them to reach their full potential. I have also taught many SEND students both in school and online. All students have a wide range of needs and I like to ensure that lessons meet the individual needs of each student.More

My daughter started with Becky in September 23, as she needed help and confidence with Science, Becky helped massively with both and her grades have greatly improved, Becky teaching style is excellent and explains things in a easy and understandable way. She also makes the lessons fun and enjoyable, whilst learning lots.
Becky is amazing. Both my daughters have found learning in a school environment challenging, one due to autism and high levels of associated anxiety but Becky has worked so well with them both and re engaged their love of learning. They say she is so friendly and easy to chat to and she makes learning really fun and interesting. Both girls enjoyed meeting Becky’s dog thru the screen when the my first started sessions as this eased their nerves. Neither of my girls have been fans of science and never felt they understood the lessons in school but they have started to enjoy the subject thanks to Becky and definitely understand the subject more now. Becky is good at sending across home practice and she’s great at answering any queries I have about their progress or what the next steps should be. No hesitations in recommending Becky!

Very Good
Honestly one of the best tutors ever. Becky explains thing so carefully and slowly so it allows me time to process everything and understand. I’ve only started with her in Year 11 (last year) and to move on with her to the A level knowing she can help me get my top grades is incredible. With my GCSE grades she allowed me to understand the keys to dealing with Biology and got my grade to increase by 5 grades which is impressive in only a couple months!
If I could give Becky 10 stars I would. 🌟 and if you are reading this, you have found an absolute gem! Becky is an incredible teacher who goes above and beyond to help her students. My son has complex needs and struggles with communication and Becky has adapted her teaching to create a wonderful inclusive teaching environment that has led to my son to be completely engaged in learning and looking forward to every lesson and is now on track to have success in his GCSE's. Becky has amazing knowledge of her subjects and all her lessons are very student centered , which with her upbeat and truly caring personality is a winning combo. I only wish we could continue with Becky into college and beyond.
Rebecca allowed me to work at my speed, reinforcing topics we had learnt at school. She was fun and easy to work with.
I am in Year 11 so only got to work with Becky for a very short time but she was absolutely brilliant. I wish that I had had the chance to work with her sooner because I am sure she would have really helped me to boost my grades and my confidence even more than she did. Thank you Becky.
