Experience
I am a fully qualified and passionate educator with over 16 years of teaching experience and more than 5 years of tutoring Key Stage 1–3 students both in person and online. I offer tailored support in English, Maths, and SATs preparation for learners from Year 1 to Year 8, including those with Special Educational Needs and those in alternative provision. My work includes Local Authority-funded tutoring for complex cases, as well as private tuition, and I also teach ESL online to children in Beijing, helping them build confidence and fluency in English.My professional background spans mainstream and specialist settings, including a Pupil Referral Unit and Schools for the Deaf, where I’ve held both teaching and leadership positions. I hold an Honours Degree in Inclusive Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and Psychology, and a PGCE with academic distinction.
Each session I deliver is thoughtfully designed to meet the unique needs of every student. Whether preparing for SATs, supporting core literacy and numeracy skills, or rebuilding confidence after disrupted learning, my approach is always student-centered, compassionate, and structured. I specialise in working with learners who may require additional support, including those with EHCPs, and I place great importance on building strong, trusting relationships with students and families.
Above all, I aim to create engaging, confidence-building sessions that spark curiosity and foster a lasting love for learning.
